About the Role
The Senior Project Manager is a client facing influencer role, who is responsible for maintaining established project margin and mitigating project risk across multiple projects and initiatives through collaboration with project resources. You will oversee the project activities establishing the project plan, schedule, resource allocation, and budget. As a Senior Project Manager you will collaborate to define improved practices and procedures that grow the organization’s capabilities and commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span multiple lines of business
- Provide leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
- Full project life cycle ownership – ensuring coordinated completion of project deliverables throughout the full implementation – from initiation to deployment – guiding and encouraging project members through the plan to a shared successful outcome.
- Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
- Report on project success criteria – results, metrics, test and deployment management activities
- Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
- Prepare estimates and detailed project plans for all phases of the project
- Monitor team performance and complete performance reviews and project retrospectives
- Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership
- Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs
- Manage project scope and changes utilizing phase sign offs and change orders as necessary
- Participate and/or drive feasibility studies, vendor selections and proposal for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders
- Support project schedules to manage the engagement contract
- Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues
- Establish practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
- Research best practices with and outside the organization to establish benchmark data and use continuous process improvement disciplines to achieve results
Requirements
- 5+ years of Project Management experience for consulting services and/or software implementation
- Possess an extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods and techniques
- Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
- Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives
- Excellent leadership, communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands
- Experience negotiating vendor contracts
- Experience drafting and submitting budget proposals and recommending subsequent budget changes where necessary
- Experience successfully leading projects and programs to close on-time, on-schedule and within budget
- Experience leading, motivating and managing various project and program team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance
- Experience influencing and gaining buy-in from executive sponsors, team members, stakeholders and peers.
- Team-building skills with technical and non-technical staff
- Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products
- Technically competent with various software programs including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and Google Suite equavalencies
- Solid functional understanding of master data and PIM concepts
- Experience with Salsify, Akeneo, and Riversand platforms preferred
- Bachelor’s degree and/or project management certification preferred

- 100% Remote (Approx. 20% travel as needed)
