The world of e-commerce, and in particular, merchandising and search, is data and computation heavy, and rich with opportunities to apply new technologies. It’s perhaps no surprise that our industry is among the first to see significant investment, progress, and disruption in the exciting and fast-moving arena of artificial intelligence.
For this reason, I’m excited to announce that Sitation is formally creating a new department – Data Science & Analytics, with a focus on developing, implementing, and servicing these exciting new technologies for our customers.
To lead this new department, I’ve appointed Andrew Schlueter, who’s been with Sitation for nearly 3 years, to the role of Vice President of Data Science & Analytics. Andrew is an experienced data analyst and developer with decades of business intelligence leadership in enterprise e-commerce, and has been a driving force in helping us to explore new tools and services in this area. He’s extremely well-respected by his colleagues, and has a proven track record of delivering exceptional results for our clients.
In this new role, Andrew will be responsible for leading a team of data scientists, developers, and analysts to develop new offerings at Sitation to leverage these new technologies, including business intelligence, machine learning, predictive analytics, content creation, and more.
Our goal is to remain on the cutting edge of our industry, and to provide data-driven solutions to our customers’ most challenging problems in a way that is both cost-effective and scalable, through the same strategies that have led to Sitation becoming a leader in PIM & MDM services. This aspect of our business continues to evolve quickly, and we are excited to push boldly into the world of AI.
Please stay tuned for upcoming announcements!
